Gratitude And The Miracle Of Water – Online Gratitude Journal #9

Dr. Masaru Emoto maintains the water molecule changes forms according to the message we send.

The Japanese love water. The country enjoys abundant rainfall, which allowed the early adoption of agriculture and therefore rich cultural evolution. I think it is very fit for a Japanese scientist to study the mystery of water. (Yes, I am being partial here because I’m Japanese, too.)

Dr Masaru Emoto has written several books on the topic, including The Miracle of Water. The book has many beautiful jewelry-like photos of water molecules. (For more about Dr Masaru Emoto and the review of his another book, The True Power Of Water, please check this post.)

But he is not the only one who advocates the mysterious power of water. This week, I was reading a Japanese magazine and saw an article by Seikan Kobayashi. He says he started saying “Thank you for restoring me to youth.” every time he drank water and other fluids when he was forty-nine. That was ten years ago, and his hair was turning gray. Within a month, he says, his hair recovered color and it is still youthful dark hair now.

I was intrigued. I have a few gray streaks, so maybe I can try for myself! So I started talking to water. It feels very good and “right” to say gratitude to the water I’m drinking. I find it hard to remember doing this, though – new habit is hard to adopt properly. It’s sad how so often I’m in a hurry and eating and drinking without paying attention to the foods and drinks I’m taking in. I’d like to be more in the now, and this gratitude to the water – and beyond – helps me.

When Tom wrote about past lives, I just had to comment because reading people’s soul records is what I do to help them and myself. We don’t always remember our past lives, and usually that is a good thing – we can start a new life with fresh mind when we come to this world. On the other hand, it is empowering to learn our past strengths and the mistakes we made – provided that the information comes in a way that is clearly intended to improve the current life, not just to satisfy the curiosity.

What do you think? I used to be a complete non-believer of past life, so I totally understand if you are suspicious about this topic. Please share your thoughts without reservation :)

My Law of Attraction Dream Money Project, Week 8, $12,800

Wow, this is like several months living expenses for me. How much precious metals can I get with this? (Of course, I’m talking about the rising price of gold, silver, copper, platinum, etc.)

This is more than enough to trade my Civic to Prius. The light green one. In addition to being environment-friendly (now the Prius is coming with plug-in option, too, I heard), it’s just a very cute car. Nothing wrong with Civic, it’s just I’m ready to step up when the time comes.

Okay, everyone, enjoy the rest of the summer! Next week, Yes to Me will have another great Interview With Successful Entrepreneur – with ProBlogger Darren Rowes. Stay tuned!

Hi Akemi, Thanks so much for the link love! You just continue to shine light and love in my life! :-) I am grateful to have met you and to have had you do my reading. I am feeling more empowered every day! Gratefully, Jenny

“Thank you for restoring me to youth” – I love that! I think I’ll start talking to water. I’m currently working on making it a habit to bless the food that I prepare prior to serving it, but I often just gulp down water during the day without really consciously thinking about it or feeling gratitude for it and the fact that it is so freely available to me. Thanks, Akemi!

    Jenny,
You are so welcome! Nothing like hearing from a happy and satisfied client, and even more so when it’s my friend!

    Mags,
I know. Even with good intention, we so often take food and water for granted, don’ we? I really like doing this gratitude to water.

I’ve seen the photos of Dr. Emoto’s experiments with tracking the effect that certain kinds of music have on water as it forms into ice–very, very fascinating. Water that “listened” to classical music came out in beautiful, symmetrical ice crystals, while water that “listened” to darker music came out looking distorted. Made me examine the concept of “vibrations” in a new way.

Akemi – saw your track-back on Tom’s site and just wanted to remark that I agree with your comments there. You may have noticed I referred to you several times in my comments. While I don’t formally browse the records – had a bad experience with that early on – I certainly am aware of the thread of my own history and it brought me a great deal of clarity. Seeing the longer trends of time gives a much greater sense of what is underway now. I’m looking forward to it.

    Kirsten,
It’s very interesting. I’m getting his Water Crystal Healing, book that comes with CDs of the music he used in his experiments.

    Davidya,
I read your comments there with great interest, too. I was thinking your comments could easily make a detailed post, and now I see you did write a post on the topic at your blog.
Sorry to hear you had a bad experience in reading the Akashic Records — let me know if I could be of help in any way.

Ah – you are back. Perhaps your server was overloaded. It gave me an over quota error but that may have been due to other issues.

Yes, after I babbled so much, I realized I had lots to say on the subject. One I had not really covered. A little reticence as there is so much noise around that subject.

Well – not a bad experience with the records. I don’t describe it that way. More that I discovered awhile back that I could “tune in” to people and see stuff. But I also found I picked yukky stuff up so I avoided it. I’ve read of healers stories describing how they had to learn to avoid that. Occasionally, something comes up with someone I meet remotely and I’ve been able to help them get past some issue. More recently, a teacher told me in another context that I was now “invincible” so should not be concerned about that. But I don’t have a healers inclinations. It simply arises when it does.

    Thanks for the offer though.

One other thing – Gratitude. I cannot tell you how powerful culturing simple gratitude was for me. I tried the simple gratitude rock idea in The Secret, a little reminder tool to remember to be grateful for something new. This softened the heart, allowed for openings in which I could do great releases, and opened to the door to allowing, the key to the awakening journey.

    Davidya,
I know some of the things in the Records are negative. I’m selective in what I want to read. Also, I have learned Light is always stronger than shadow. So I stay strong and tell the “yucky” stuffs to stay away outside my spheres of protection. It also helps that I know how to clear the negative interferences with the help of my Spirit Guides.
I like the gratitude rock, too. I used to use my pendant for that — to say gratitude when I touch it.
Welcome to Yes to Me and stay around!

Hi Akemi…. Thanks for the link and the comment. I enjoyed the discussion we had going. You have a lot of good thoughts to share. :-)

  11. Davidya on August 8th, 2008 2:36 pm

    Akemi
After i wandered into an unexpected place, I was given some ‘tools’ that are quite effective. I agree that light is much more powerful than shadow. The flow of life itself will destroy all darkness. I don’t worry about protection as I am that which protects.

Will explore the blog further. Thanks.

    BTW – isn’t Kiva great?

  13. m on August 8th, 2008 3:46 pm

I used to do Reiki on my water before drinking it, but then I stopped. I think I’m going to start again. I’m also going to add a gratitude prayer like you suggest here.

  14. akemi on August 8th, 2008 7:15 pm

    Tom,
Yeah, that was a good discussion!

    Davidya,
Kiva is great. I like their concept of helping people to be independent.

    M,
Reiki on water? Sounds interesting. I’m glad my article inspired you.

Hi Akemi – The power of water is truly amazing. I cut way back on coffee on my vacation and drank a lot of water. I’m going to keep this up and see if I can see the benefits.

I’m really interested in past lives and the soul reading you did for me has transformed my life. I’m hoping to give soul readings to a few people I know as a Christmas gift, so you’re probably going to be busy at the beginning of January.

  16. akemi on August 12th, 2008 4:35 pm

    Cath,
Well, thank you. It’s wonderful you are thinking of my service for holiday gift.
About the power of water — this is truly amazing, and I will be writing more about it soon as I’m reading the Japanese version of The True Power of Water by Masaru Emoto.

  17. Cath Lawson on August 13th, 2008 7:14 pm

Akemi – this is really weird. I had not heard of a Prius until I read this post. And just after I read it, Stuart received details of a job he is applying for. A car is included in the package and it’s a Prius.

  18. akemi on August 14th, 2008 9:12 am

    Cath,
Wow! That’s quite a synchronicity. Your Spirit Guides are so powerful — quite showy, I guess ^_^

    Hi Akemi.

I really love your blog and everything that you write about. I know that your business is doing well and I hope that it will continue in the future! I’ve had an Akashic Reading from Anna Conlan and it was great. I have experienced the benefits of the readings.

I just noticed that you bought a car that runs on electricity. I’ve researched that maybe they’re not the best choice since the electricity creates a lot of magnetic radiation or whatever the disturbance is called in physics – so I don’t know if it’s really that healthy for the driver. Hopefully soon they’ll be making cars that run on water. The engine that runs on water was invented more than 50 years ago but it was suppressed by the oil industry!

Anyway keep writing awesome blog posts! I really loved your series on Entrepreneurship too. I am starting my math tutoring business soon and your posts on money and entrepreneurship have helped me.

    Thank you!

  27. akemi on May 24th, 2009 7:40 am

    Yang,
    Welcome to Yes to Me.
Umm…where do you see about my electric car? I drive Civic. Since I relocated to Oregon and started working from home, I don’t drive so much though.
I’m glad you enjoyed my posts on entrepreneurship. Best of luck to you and your business.
