Gratitude From Akemi's Inner Child – Online Gratitude Journal #7
July 25, 2008 by Akemi
Hi, I’m Akemi’s inner child. I always wondered what it’s like to blog, so I’m going to do this today while Akemi is doing what she calls “work.”
My Life Purpose
Akemi makes a big deal about Life Purpose. I think she makes it too complicated, like all adults do. Why, of course I know my life purpose. My life purpose is to go out and run around screaming. I love the fresh air in my face. I want to pick every flower I see. When I see a puddle, I jump in. Every puddle makes different splashes – did you know that? Then I go home and take a nap. Life is great.
I can’t wait to look outside the window every morning when I wake up. I guess this is the feeling Akemi calls gratitude. Such a big word for a simple feeling.

Hunter told me funny stories of Japan and said nice things about me, so I know he is a good person. I wish Akemi spends more time reading his blog.
Selene looks like a cute cartoon character, so I like her. A while ago, she invited Akemi to join her Get Clients Now! Program. I know Akemi got the book, was excited and made her own daily progress chart. She was doing it for a week or so, and then she screwed. She got busy dealing with her clients and forgot about keeping the score. I’m sorry, Selene, I know the Program is great, but Akemi is not as organized as you are. She says she is more intuitive, and she may have made some excuses about her dropout, but I know the truth.
My Law of Attraction Dream Money Project, Week 6, $3200
I don’t understand money very well, but Akemi said it’s growing fast and maybe we can go somewhere. So I’m looking at the map. Where is Italy? I think that’s where Akemi said lots of pretty pictures and yummy foods are. She wants to go to Spain, too, to Barcelona. She was looking at the photos of strange buildings called Gaudi. They sort of looked like the buildings I draw, so I think I like them.
Ok, this is it for today. I think Akemi is looking for me, so I’m going to hit this Publish button now before she comes. Have a great weekend, everyone!

Wow, Akemi Jr. You must be a very bright child to figure out how to create links in WordPress and so forth. Maybe some of Akemi has rubbed off on you. I think both the inner child and the outer adult are needed to make a complete person. Thanks for the link–you definitely deserved nice things to be said about you.
Fantastic post, Akemi Jr! I love puddles too, and I also like to take off my wellies when I find a mud patch and feel it squelching through my toes

Hunter,
Of course I’m bright. I’m brilliant. It’s the junk thoughts and worries Akemi brings in that shadow my light. Tell Akemi to be nice to me, will you?
Mags,
That sounds fun! Maybe I’ll move over to play with you and your cat.
Smiles, Akemi Jr.
Hi Little Akemi-chan!
It’s very nice of you to come out and talk to us. I enjoyed listening to you. If my little children were more articulate, I’m sure they’ll tell their daddy some of the same things. I hope you get to go to Italy soon!

Koinuma-san,
My pleasure.
Maybe all the inner children of bloggers can get together in one of these days and have a big bash!!

What a great way to start the day!
Thanks for the laugh, Barbara
Hi Akemi’s Inner child – this is a great reminder that we should also be spending time doing things just for the fun of it. I’m not organised either. I forgot to do Akemi’s homework one day and had to start again from the beginning.

Barbara,
Well, try it yourself. Your inner child will be glad.
Cath,
I know Akemi is pretty assertive. She means good, though. Thank you for hanging around with her.

When I was about 19, my mom gave me an “inner child doll”. This doll looks quite a bit like me, but more important is it’s function – to remind me of my inner child. Great gift.
