Happy Halloween! I have the feeling Halloween is big in this small town. Maybe I will take my camera out. Hope you are having fun and enjoying the fall colors, too. (Photo credit)
October in Review
I spent a lot of time thinking and writing about foods this month. I do believe physical health is important in spiritual growth. We are spiritual being incarnated in the flesh. The content is of course important, but the package is part of the deal, too.
So if you haven’t, please check this out. And this. And let’s treat our bodies with gratitude!
My eBook “Lightworker’s Guide to Self-Employment” is coming soon. I completed my draft and it’s now in my graphic designer’s hands. When she is done, I will do the final read-through before the official release. So just another little while — I’m glad I made it before the holiday season.
Fun
In Japan, there is haiku, a short poem of seventeen syllables.
The US invented Twitter for the world, a social media of 140 characters or less.
I’ve been tweeting daily with inspirational quotes and my own insights. Communication within 140 characters is both fun and challenge. Here are some of my tweets that received multiple retweets and comments:
Others have seen what is and asked why. I have seen what could be and asked why not. — Picasso
Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one’s courage. — Anais Nin
The world is a reflection of yourself. So love starts with self love. Love yourself completely until there is nothing that is not you.
Please follow me @akemigaines. Thank you.
Challenges
Part of the reason why I have been thinking so much is because I’ve been detoxing myself. I’m in good health overall, but if I must point out something, I know my digestive system is weak. So I tried some herbal supplements for detox.
Gee, that was hard on the body! I’m not sure if I was ready for it. Detox can be too demanding to the system sometimes, I guess.
A year ago at Yes to Me
I was writing about entrepreneurship extensively last year. Most of the points will be in my upcoming eBook, but here is something you might find interesting.
I’m grateful for being able to support myself. Thank you for the money that puts foods on the table today.
Where in the blogosphere Akemi has bee
Oprah. Who doesn’t love her? I’ve posted a couple of articles on her forum. They are:
Two Approaches to Heal your Traumas from Past Lives
Are We Predestined in Life?
Check out other features on her website, too, like the newsletters. I don’t watch much TV, but some of the articles there are quite interesting.
Also, if you like reading about personal development, here is a great eBook that compiles the best articles of today’s top bloggers. Even better, this is for a great cause — the eBook is free, but you get to donate to Susan G. Komen For the Cure, a group for breast cancer cure research. I’d like to express special thanks to Lance Ekum, who worked on the making of this great eBook.
Word of month
Biology is different in different states of consciousness. In order to reinvent the body, we must move to a new level of consciousness. — Deepak Chopra by twitter
Now if you really think about it, this is a huge revelation. Biology is different for each person depending on their states of consciousness! I’m going to write more about this next month in relation to ascension and physical immortality.

And here is a photo of the morning light taken from my porch. Pretty, huh? Each day, each season, brings new joy.
Stay warm. Let me know how you are doing in the comments. Thank you.

Hi Akemi,
What a logical statement; biology is different in different states of consciousness. Of course, as the consciousness changes, it moves the entire being in the same direction. I have worked with Dr. Zoe Marais who is a Harvard physiologist and her work is all about biology and how it affects the systems that consist of organs, that consist of tissues, that consist of cells and connective tissue. I will interview her and we will both work on this wonderful subject.
Yes Akemi, food, herbs, and clean water are fruits to the spirit. I also agree that detoxing can be challenging and it is important to understand to work with it as a process.
Perhaps, as our concsiousness opens to higher realizations, our digestive systems parody the same process? Thanks for focusing on the importance of what we put into our temples; for they house the very essence of God!
Hi Suzen,
Yep. Dr Bruce Lipton said it in his The Biology of Belief. But perhaps he wasn’t clear enough — or maybe we are so hardheaded. Biology changes with awareness. I look forward to reading your interview with Dr Zoe Marais.
Akemi,
Thanks so much for the mention here! And it’s because of you and many others that this e-book came to be – so thank you for all you have done to support this! It means the world to me.
