Gratitude For The Things I Don't Like, Online Gratitude Journal #14

I don’t like saying no. I don’t like being looked down upon. And I don’t like . . .
Well, you got the idea, right? Recently I faced a couple of difficult situations in my business. In one case, someone contacted me offering to write about my Akashic Record Reading service in her newsletter that reaches 5000 plus individuals. Quite nice. But as we discussed the details of the deal, it turned out – well, I’m not comfortable disclosing the details at this time, but I came to the conclusion that it is best to politely decline the offer. It was an interesting learning experience. I knew I was a people pleaser (which is wonderful when it manifests positively in my service) but I didn’t realize saying no made me this nervous. I see that I need to detach more and let my business grow slowly. So for that learning opportunity, I am grateful for the incidents.
I guess every “I don’t like . . .” comes from my own fear. So when I say thanks to the learning it offers, I grow just a little bigger.
Update on the Heroes of Healing group writing project
Please check out my friend Jenny Mannion’s wonderful project that list many great leaders of modern spiritual healing. The link actually takes you to her beautiful new front page, from which you can go to her blogs or to this project. I love the way the project grew and expanded in an organic way over so many blogs. From Yes to Me, Ari Koinuma and Mokihana Calizar found this project and participated. And, oh, my own contribution is here. Thank you!
Yes to Me is about entrepreneurship and personal development, so I don’t talk about healing so often here, but actually I’m deeply involved in spiritual healing. My Akashic Record Reading service is about healing the past wounds and various energetic interferences on our souls. Many clients report improved sleep and less anxiety after the reading and clearing, for example. And I’m exploring wider applications of this modality.
Yes to Me gets Google Page Rank 4
I have no idea what earned the upgraded ranking, but I guess we can use this as a cause for celebration
So here are some herb tea and cookies for all my readers. Thank you for reading and commenting!
Here are the ten most viewed posts of the last three months with average viewing time. It looks to me that you like reading these posts a lot. (If you are jumping to read these posts, please stumble on them so that others can find them as well. Thank you)

My Law of Attraction Dream Money Project, Week 13, $409,600
After creating a foundation two weeks ago, which was fun and rewarding, I feel the need to recharge myself. So I’m going to buy a house near the beach – by cash. It’s a little hideaway on midhill that commands the ocean view. I can go there anytime – just two hours drive. I will furnish it country style. A fireplace made of reclaimed old bricks. The kitchen table has thick solid oak top, and I will have fresh flowers from the garden arranged in an antique milk jar. And then, I will hire a property manager so I can rent it out by the week to people who want relaxing down time away from the busy urban life.
And when I am ready to leave, this house can be my funeral home. I want my cremation to be spread over the ocean. I’ve eaten many fish, so they can take some of my calcium
Next week, we resume the Inside Out Approach To Entrepreneurship. Have a great weekend!

Akemi, this is beautiful, just beautiful *smiles*

Hey, congratulations on getting PageRank 4. I don’t have the Google toolbar installed, but when I read this I went to check my own PageRank and found that it has also gone up to 4! I remember being so happy when it finally went up to 1, because at last it was finally higher than 0!
I noticed our joint writing has a very high average viewing time. I think it’s great that people took the time to read that much, because we really wrote a lot between part I and part II!

Christopher,
Thank you
Hunter,
I just went over to your blog, and yeah, I see that you’ve got PR4. Congrats.
That was a good joint writing. I look forward to another opportunity like that.
Hi Akemi – I liked this post until I got to the end and you talk about being cremated. Why are you thinking about dying? You’re still young. The beach house sounds good though – I would like to rent it from you for a week.
Congratulations on your Page Rank update. I’m still PR3 – I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I’ve never really understood Page Rank but I guess I should try – maybe it will help me get ranked highly for more comptitive keywords.
I’m guessing the newsletter person you mentioned wanted to charge you an extortionate amount for advertising. I wish folk would be more upfront when they want to charge you for stuff like that but they rarely are.
Akemi! Well done on the PR 4. That’s a big boost, especially now that Google is getting very strict with their PR system. And your inbound links are quality links too, which means you aren’t very likely to go down, but only up!
Cath,
I don’t really know why I wrote that part. It’s not like I’m looking forward to die. It just crossed my mind and it’s actually comforting to think that my remains go back to the big ocean.
The Google PR is a total mystery to me, and really, I don’t know what I did right. You obviously have more traffic to your site, so I wouldn’t worry about it.
Albert,
Oh, the revered monk is here (bowing)
Is that so? That sounds good. The way I see it is higher ranking is something I can be happy about, but it really has nothing to do with the quality of the blog. I write, slow and steady, what I really believe in, and that is what matters. And I keep doing whatever the PR or subscriber # may be.
Hi Akemi – as Albert said PR4 is brilliant news. I only get more traffic because I’ve been blogging longer – so I have more posts to be found. Like everything – it’s a numbers game. But I only get number one on Google for keyphrases with little competition. From what I understand – a higher PR helps you to compete on more competitive keyphrases.
Cath,
Really? Wow, I’m feeling even better ^_^
Hey Akemi, congrats on … well, just about everything – Google ranking, gratitude for things that you don’t like, learning to say “no” (that’s a big one). The part on calcium for the fish was really funny.

Irene,
Haha . . . now watch out what you are eating.
I just found that if I type in “yes to me”(no .com, no hyphen, just yes to me) in that little window of the browser where I usually type in the URL, I get to this blog. Pretty neat, huh?
Hi Akemi,
I was pleasantly surprised to see that my guest post made it to your ten most viewed. Thank you for listing it.
Congratulations on having made a decision about cremation. As I get older I know I’ll have to decide, but neither burial nor burning sound appealing to me. Of course I know it’s because I’m thinking of it as a live person. I do want to make the decision myself so that my children don’t have to decide.
Congratulations also on buying your beach house, and with cash too! I’m impressed. I can’t think of anyone I know personally who has ever bought a house for cash.
I’m going to take a look into the Heroes of Healing Group Project and learn about Law of Attraction Dream Money Projects.
Flora Morris Brown, Ph.D.s last blog post..This Was Once My Résumé
Hi Flora,
Cremation is the standard in Japan so I have no issue about it.
