Thank you for your comment, but I respectfully disagree.  I know a lot of people think the way you described.  Therefore, there is an open underserved market up there.  Using the same example of blogs, premium WP theme like Thesis is selling very well.  There are many people who pays $80 (not sure of current price -- writing from memory) for it and then another several hundred for its customization.

In my own business, too, I have been raising my rate quite aggressively and have seen practical NO negative effects.  There are plenty of people who are willing to pay for unique values.  I&#039;ll go for it rather than settling for ho-hum commoditized level.</description>

Here&#039;s the conundrum: the current economy is a little too far out of whack to support much bespoke work at prices consumers can afford.

WordPress is a perfect example: anyone can install and use the same old blogging software.  But getting something truly unique is really expensive!
