Best Spirituality Blog Posts 2008

December 22, 2008 by

So many great blogs on spiritual development!  I feel strongly that we are accelerating our spiritual evolution these recent years.  Maybe it’s the 2012 thing (just joking).

I called for the best spirituality blog posts of this year, and received these great articles.  With lots of love and gratitude, let me present them in the order they were sent my way, with snippets from the posts:

From You Are Truly Loved by Ariel Bravy

Spiritual Truth Is Experiential, Not A Belief System
“Spiritual Truth is something to know, to experience, not something to believe in. The joy and love and peace of God can be actually experienced once you know how to access it.”

The Ego: Your Emotional Gatekeeper
“Nothing out there makes you happy. There is nothing outside of yourself that ever will make you happy.”

From Heal Pain Naturally by Jenny Mannion

Art – Spirituality And Healing
“Art is spiritual and healing in a multitude of ways. You need not be a professional artist to benefit from expressing yourself through art. You do not need to be an art connoisseur to be moved to tears of joy from the beauty of a painting or another art form.”

From Healing And Insight by Anna Conlan

How To Find Your Calling As A Lightworker
“If you’re a lightworker, your purpose will inevitably be some variant on this theme: to serve others; to contribute something good to this world; to raise consciousness.”

From Erin Pavlina . Com by Erin Pavlina

Understanding Your Life Purpose
“Your life purpose is not to be an accountant, a writer, a coach, or an airline pilot.  No. Those are mediums with which you can express your life purpose.  Your life purpose is more about who you are at your core and what you are here to learn and give than it is about what you do for a living.”

Are You Afraid to Be Rich?
“Say this phrase out loud to yourself: ‘Sure I want to be rich…’ and if you feel the urge to add a ‘but’ at the end of the sentence then examine the limiting belief that’s about to come out of your mouth.”

Christopher, who is the regular commenter at Yes to Me, sent me this interesting article.
The Universe As A Hologram
“(Michael Talbot) depicted a theoretical model of reality that suggests the physical universe is akin to a giant hologram.”
Honestly, I don’t think I understood the article fully.  But if you are good with science, please check this out and let me know what you think.  The integration of spirituality and science is one of the most exciting development these days.

From Shift Your Spirits by Slade Roberson

Relatively Quiet, Significantly Present
“I can’t help but notice how the most significant moments in my interior life are so relatively quiet. . . The Present may disappoint you in its ordinariness. “

What’s Wrong with What You Want
“Wanting something, needing something, is by definition lacking it. I’m always contemplating powers of manifestation and laws of attraction within the context of language — how language can certainly enhance your power, but also how it often insidiously detracts.”

From Light Beckons by Irene Seah

Glass Half Full
“I’ve learnt that we need to start asking also, ‘What’s right with me?’.  Start finding the little things that you’re happy about yourself, your ‘gifts’, no matter how weird they may seem to you.”

From Woo Woo Wisdom by Mags

Make Up Your Mind!
“The issue of choice has followed me around my whole life. . . are you making choices in your life, or expressing preferences? “

Providing Value To The World
“How are you providing value to the world?  Like many people, your initial answer to this question will probably revolve around what you’re doing to provide value and to contribute towards the upliftment of the world… “

From Urban Monk by Albert Foong

The Importance Of Setting Personal Boundaries
“When do we say no, and when do we say yes? Is saying no a sign of selfishness or a sign of strength? Is saying yes a sign of weakness, or a sign of generosity and compassion?”

A Tested Guide To Transcending Your Fears And Finally Live Your Life’s Purpose
“What is the first – perhaps the only – difference between living your dream and stagnating?
The fundamental difference is fear. Fear of losing it all; fear of what another might think; fear of being less than enough.”

Finally, my pick of my own posts from Yes to Me:
